The Life of Anthony Brice

 

Anthony Brice, born on December 7, 1971, to LeRoy W. and Phyllis J. Brice, grew up in the close-knit community of Inverness. His childhood was filled with classic small-town adventures, from playing youth sports to swimming across canals to build forts on islands. These early experiences, alongside his involvement in church, instilled in him valuable life lessons and the importance of strong relationships, many of which were forged through sports from little league to college.

Anthony's diverse skill set is impressive, encompassing practical trades like carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, as well as ranching. His military career further broadened his expertise, as he served in three different MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) roles:

• Armor Crewman (M1A1 Abrams Tank)

• Transportation Specialist

• Medical Specialist/Combat Medic

After medically retiring from the military, Anthony returned to his hometown. He spent several years working in the family insurance agency, specializing in property and casualty. For the past fifteen years, he has dedicated his time to agriculture and livestock.

Anthony's personal journey is one of remarkable growth and resilience. He overcame a childhood stutter and bullying to become the starting pitcher for the Citrus County Dixie League World Series team in the late 1980s and played in the Regionals at Lecanto High School in 1989. He also proudly served as captain of the Lecanto High School football team.

 

A man of deep conviction, Anthony's faith is his compass. He is a baptized Presbyterian and has pursued his studies at Regent University. He finds joy in all aspects of nature and firmly believes in the power of individuals to create a better world.

Anthony is happily married to Bonnie B. Brice and they have two children, Lee R. Brice and Alexandra V. Brice.
